FRP Composites are an awesome material to use for construction projects.

Superior resistance to corrosion is one advantage of FRP. Another advantage is the ability to conduct prefabrication offsite and in a controlled environment.

Due to the light weight of the composites materials, the cost to transport the structure to the site and provide equipment for installation are also reduced.

Composites materials have many advantages as compared to steel when used for infrastructure projects.

Resin infusion was used as part of the project in the following video:

From Mostostal Warszawa

The documentary presents realization of project „Com-bridge – An innovative bridge made of FRP composites”. In 2015 r. Mostostal Warszawa S.A. constructed the first Polish road bridge made of FRP composites. It is the longest single-span bridge of its kind in the world.

Consortium Partners: – Mostostal Warszawa S.A. (coordinator) – prefabrication and construction works, – Promost Cosulting – bridge design, – Warsaw University of Technology – materials tests, – Rzeszów University of Technology – bridge elements tests. The construction of the bridge has been a part of the Com-bridge research project, co-financed by the National Centre of Research and Development’s programme supporting scientific research and development activities on demonstration scale.
